Asia is fast emerging as the leading active travel destination globally, offering an abundance of bike, hiking, and kayaking activities.
Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam are at the very forefront of this wave, mesmerising travellers with their distinct landscapes, vibrant cultures, and great infrastructure that is at par or even better than that in the west.
While Japan and Vietnam have been somewhat established in the Asian tourism circuit, Taiwan is a relatively new entrant. The island has only recently embraced large scale adventure tourism.

Japan: Kyoto and Shikoku
Japan, a place of contrasts and cultural treasures, draws tourists with its numerous attractions. Our newly introduced trips in Japan provide a thorough experience of this remarkable country.
Art of Bicycle Trip’s Essence of Shikoku Bike Tour takes bikers into the heart of Shikoku, from the famous cycling paths of Shimanami Kaido to the ancient city of Matsuyama with its famous castle.
For the uninitiated, the Shimanami Kaido is a 60km expressway that connects the islands of Shikoku and Honshu over the Seto Inland Sea. The expressway has dedicated paths for cyclists and pedestrians, and is considered one of the most beautiful cycling routes in Asia.
Meanwhile, the Kyoto to Sea of Japan Bike Tour reveals the hidden gems of the Tango Peninsula, located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture.
The route takes cyclists through rural landscapes, passing by old castle towns and includes stays at Kinosaki Onsen's soothing hot springs. The adventure ends at the famous Amanohashidate, one of Japan's most spectacular sights, for a moment of reflection in the deep blue waters of the Sea of Japan.
Vietnam: The Ha Giang Loop
Vietnam's appeal for active travel lies in its rugged terrain, beautiful coastline and unique cultural heritage especially along the Mekong Delta, which promise cyclists an amazing ride through breathtaking sights and rich traditions.
While the company already has several tours that explore the Mekong Delta and coastal Vietnam, its latest offering is its first in the breathtakingly beautiful Ha Giang region.
The Classic Ha Giang Loop Bike Tour allows visitors to discover the hidden jewel of Ha Giang, located in the country's northernmost region, some 300 kms from Hanoi.
The tour takes tourists through a mesmerising journey of quiet backroads that weave through spectacular limestone karsts and lush rice terraces, passing by picturesque Hmong and Dao villages along the route. Cyclists are also treated to magnificent views of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
