wool
trade
being
where
the
Peppin,
a bigger
framed
merino
which
could
stand
up to
the
harsh
conditions
of the
area
was
born.

largest
inland
town
and
the
centre
for
industry,
agriculture,
and
education
in the
area.
The
town

Botanic
Gardens
with

hectares

floral
displays,

hothouse
flowers
and
rainforest.

park
is the
zoo
and
the
former
council
chambers
house
and
art
gallery.
