Maleny is situated in the hinterland, of Queenslands beautiful Sunshine Coast region. Just 1 hours drive north of Brisbane.

Climbing up a steep hill from the coast, lies the tranquil village of Maleny - located at the south end of the Blackall Range. The area surrounding Maleny is pristine farming and dairy country. A popular retreat for artists with uninterupted views of the Glasshouse Mountains. This quaint village is part of a 28km drive, one of the best tourist drives in Queensland. Driving north east from Maleny through to Mapleton, visiting an excellent variety of antique shops, museums, tea rooms and fruit stalls along the way, whilst enjoying the spectacular scenery of these lush hinterland villages.

The region nearby also includes Kondalilla National Park, a scenic walk through sub tropic rain forest with rock pools and waterfalls. Visit Baroon Pocket Dam for some fishing or boating or the boardwalks in the forest. Flaxton also has quality art galleries, avocado orchards, a winery and even a miniture English village.

Visit the beautiful Mary Cairncross park for panoramic views and fantastic rainforest walks. In October they have Opera in the Rainforest.
