Perth Northern Beaches Holiday Destinations

Yanchep is one of Perth's most popular recreation areas and tourist destinations. It offers ideal opportunities to experience the tranquillity of the Tuart Forests to the crystal blue waters of the coast.
Yanchep is located at the end of a chain of lakes situated on the Swan Coastal Plain. These lakes are a window to the vast underground streams, that have formed the spectacular network of Limestone caves over thousands of years.

Yanchep was derived from the Aboriginal word 'Yanget' which means Bulrush named after the bulrushes which fringe the lakes.

Guilderton lies at the mouth of the Moore River a popular day trip and coastal holiday destination. Here you will find good fishing in the river and sea, and safe swimming for children.

A small but growing fishing village, Seabird offers "getaway from it all" tranquillity with a safe beach and ample leisure pursuits.

Ledge Point
Built around the fishing industry, Ledge Point is a centre that provides activities for all age groups.

Sporting facilities, safe swimming and boating, picnic facilities, complement the relaxed lifestyle and friendly atmosphere of this ideal family holiday spot.

Lancelin is fast becoming known as the sailboard mecca of Western Australia and is a colourful spectacle with large numbers of international and interstate windsurfers taking advantage of the excellent local conditions. Long stretches of white sandy beach provide ideal swimming for children, and the extensive Lancelin desert provides the perfect location for the off road enthusiast. A safe anchorage and offshore reef make Lancelin a productive and safe area for those keen on boating and fishing.

Gingin is a small picturesque town. Set in Redgum country along the unique fresh water Gingin Brook.

The town is built near a spring and derives it's name from the Aboriginal word 'bullgert', meaning magic swamp place.

New Norcia
Extravagant buildings, olive trees and Church Bells! New Norcia is like a piece of Old Spain in the middle of the Australian bush.

The town was founded in 1846 by a small band of Benedictine monks. they came to establish a mission to the Aborigines of the Victoria Plains district. Around their monastery they built a small village made up of a church, flour mill, schools, hostel and apiary.

Today this town is one of the great cultural heritage sites of Australia. Two of its buildings are classified by the National Trust and the town as a whole is registered on the National Estate. New Norcia continues to be home to a community of Benedictine monks who own and operate this truly unique settlement.

Moora is situated on the banks of the Moore River in an area which was once virgin Salmon Gum forest.

This small fishing town is named after the island off the coast, which in turn was named after the wreck of the 'Cervantes', a two masted American whaling ship, wrecked on 29June 1844.

Fishermen are assured of good catches from boat, beach or jetty. Located on a sheltered bay, Jurien offers excellent beach and ocean recreation.
