The Shark Bay Heritage Area is the home one of the worlds last surviving herds of dugongs, who along with whales, turtles, manta rays, and large sharks are regularly sighted.

Monkey Mia is one of Western Australia's most famous and popular tourist attractions, where wild dolphins can be hand fed on the shoreline. The area is one of the best for fishermen and also home to the famous Western Australian crayfish.
