Shell Australia and the National Road Transport Hall of Fame will see 54 of the nation’s trucking elite inducted into the prestigious Shell Rimula Wall of Fame this August in Alice Springs. The annual event, which this year sees over 500 truck drivers and transport industry magnates descend upon Alice Springs, is a highlight of the road transport calendar and provides the opportunity for recognition of a lifetime of service. Inductees this year include a 90-year old retired driver, one of the first women truck drivers and several prominent heads of transport companies.
The event, sponsored by Shell Rimula lubricants, is part of a three day celebration which includes a breakfast for Transport Women Australia and the Cummins Cup at Alice Springs Turf Club on Friday and the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame Induction ceremony on Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a public open day in the museum to view the heritage collection. This is a prestigious event and bookings are essential
